Any you thought it was bad when the bank repo-ed a house, car or your stuff… these guys can take your life.

Remy (Jude Law) is the best in his field of chosen career, a repo man. Set in the distant future, instead of taking your house or home if you fall behind in payments, these guys are much less kind. In the future, the health of the population has become so poor that organ replacements are now done by artificial organs that can be financed at a kind 19%. The man still has got us down. When some of these artificial organs such as a liver or heart go for a bargain price of $625,000, who wouldn’t save their measly life to be with their families?
If you fall behind more than 3 months and some odd days in payments, The Union reserves the rights to reclaim their property at any cost. Thus enter Remy and his partner Jake (Forest Whitaker). Their boss Frank (Liev Schreiber) is so impressed with the efficiency of their work that he wants to bump up their commission and give them more work. Remy unfortunately declines as his wife has given him an ultimatum – the job or his family. Remy chooses his family and asks to be transferred into sales. Jake is severely disappointed.
To go out with a bang, Jake suggests doing one last job and Remy complies. On this job, it starts of great – Remy is repo-ing an organ of one of his music idols and the guy is giving him no problems. As he is about to start the process, the equipment fails and sends Remy into a coma; giving him a new artificial heart of his own.

When he wakes, Remy goes ballistic at what he finds and his whole world changes. His wife is gone, he can’t perform on the job and a mysterious beauty, Beth (Alice Braga) enters into his life. Remy discovers how much his job has affected his life and now faces dire consequences on which path he chooses.

I’m going to give it to you straight; this movie was f*&%ing weird. A futuristic movie set to elevator type music that has masochistic sex scenes. The first 20 minutes or so were promising and once it hit the second reel, it was all downhill from there. What is most disappointing is that you have some really great actors cast but in a story that just does not work.

Things to watch for: Decent action/fight scenes.

Who should see this movie:
If you are into weird sex fetishes, this may be for you. If you are into futuristic action movies this may be for you.

See it in the Theater or Rent it on DVD: If you don’t have to, leave this one for the dollar bin at WalMart.
